Milton Keynes taxi companies are expecting a busy week ahead as bus workers at Arriva are set to strike across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th September.
The Unite union claims that the pay rises offered by Arriva buses of between four and six per cent is not enough, and any pay rises should equal the inflation rate to protect workers from a real term pay cut.
Taxi Operators in Milton Keynes, such as Skyline taxis, Bolt and Cab365, expect increased demand over the strike period and have increased capacity to cope with the added demand.
Milton Keynes station taxis are available 24/7 with fares starting from £5 and can be booked on 01908 535353at any time.
